Ryan Osborne Spins While Fighting
For Lead at Wall, Finishes Tenth in Focus Action By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget series returned to the Garden State of New Jersey over the past weekend and Pennellville, New York campaigner Jeff Abold, who is leading in the 2007 version of the points chase, led all 25-laps of the feature in an event that showed lots of passing and side by side action for the great crowd on hand. The event, sponsored by the Warren County Collision Center, had Milford, New Jersey driving talent Ryan Osborne racing to the front to do battle with Abold, only to lose the handle on the Ryano Racing Beast Midget entry and spin around and end his day early a bit earlier that he would have liked. Abold, who has been the runner-up in the points chase in the series the past two seasons, solidified his lead position in the series with the win. Jeremy Tsihlis finished in second place with a great run and Shaun Gosselin finished third. PJ Stergios the current runner-up in the points chase was fourth, and rounding out the top five was PJ's brother Jake Stergios. Saturday's quick turn around of events places Osborne in some jeopardy in his hopes of winning the Focus Championship this year. With just three races remaining on the 2007 schedule, Osborne will have to win or finish well in the remaining events and hope his competitors in front of him do not fare as well so the deficit reduces in favor of Osborne. Going into the three final events, Jeff Abold continues to lead the way as he has amassed 728 points. PJ Stergios is 27 ticks behind with 701 points. Steve Intravaia moved into third place in the points battle over the weekend as he now has earned 643 points. Osborne slipped to fourth place, seven points behind Intravaia with 636 points, and rounding out the top five is Jesse State, who has garnered 571 points thus far. While the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspections/Warren County Collision Center Ford Focus racer owned by Bob and Fran Osborne and driven by Ryan Osborne, continues it's quest for the title, it is going to take upfront finishes and some ladyluck to come into play to make it happen. Ryano Racing thanks all of their sponsors and supporters for their help throughout the 2007 racing season. Ryan
Osborne Scores First Career Focus Win at Spencer Speedway By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget series enjoyed it's second full weekend of racing in the New York State last weekend and without question nobody enjoyed it more than Milford, New Jersey's "Flyin" Ryan Osborne. The Garden Stater won his first career feature event in the Northeast Ford Focus Series on Friday evening at the Spencer Speedway located in Williamson, New York. Osborne, racing in the Focus series for the third year, showed his dominance over the field from the start as he jumped into the lead from his outside starting position and proceeded to wire the field in the 20-lap feature event. Red Hot Rookie Steve Intravaia was second with Shaun Gosselin racing to third, fellow Garden Stater Sean Carman finishing fourth, and PJ Stergios completing the top five. While the win was the first for the 19 year old driving talent in the Focus series, unfortunately it was also the first time his parents, car owners Bob and Fran Osborne, missed their son's racing activities. The Osbornes were vacationing in Ocean City, Maryland at the time of the race. The Series then headed off to the Chemung Speedrome for the Saturday racing activities. Once again the Rookie Steve Intravaia was up to the task as he overhauled leader Jeff Abold on lap-20 of the 25 -lap feature to win going away. For Intravaia, it was his third win in the last four Focus outings and his other finish was a second. Abold finished second in the event and Shaun Gosselin was third. PJ Stergios with a fourth and Sean Carman rounded out the top five. Ryan Osborne finished seventh in the event after rallying back from a spin on the 18th lap while leading. Osborne, who became the leader on lap 15 when he moved around Gosselin, felt he had to move up the racetrack and find a faster line on the speedway and when he did, got into some loose marbles that turned him around. Osborne was disappointed with the spin and his eventual finishing position but learned a valuable lesson from the experience. Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne still remains in third place in the latest point standings, but the points battle is really heating up. Jeff Abold continues to lead with with 662 points. PJ Stergios with 642 points is in the runnerup slot but reeling in Abold with each passing race. Osborne is in third place with 596 points and Steve Intravaia is closing fast in fourth place on the strength of his recent performances. The Rookie Intravaia has 594 points. Jesse State rounds out top five competitors with 524 points. Osborne, was a guest on the Monday night CARQUEST Gasoline Alley TV/Internet Show. In his usual flawless delivery, Osborne interviewed for twenty minutes and thanked everyone for their support with his racing endeavors. He also thanked his fellow Garden Staters for their support at their home track Wall Stadium, a track in which the series will be visiting this coming Staurday night, August 18th. |

Ryan Osborne 6th at
Adirondack, Big Weekend on Tap Next Weekend
By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media
The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget series made it's annual visit to the Adirondack Speedway over the weekend and Steve Intraviaia, a rookie in the series, won his second consecutive feature event. Intravaia, who won at Waterford last week for his first win, is driving the same car that carried Kunkletown's Ryan Smith to a pair of Focus titles last year. Intravaia took over the lead on the second lap and never looked back in securing his second straight win in the series.
For the Ryano Racing Team, with
Ryan Osborne aboard, the team struggled a bit with their set-up as the
heavy amounts of rain that fell prior to the event, washed away the
rubber laid down on the raceway previously. After finishing third in his
heat race, Osborne began the feature from 8th starting place and managed
to make a couple of passes before settling on a 6th place finish at the
end of the event. Intravaia was the winner with PJ Stergios, Jesse
State, Shaun Gosselin, and Jeff Abold completing the top five.
Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle
Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned
by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne remains in third place in
the latest point standings. Jeff Abold continues to lead with with 563
markers. PJ Stergios with 525 points is in second place but reeling in
Abold with each passing race. Osborne is in third place with 482 points
and Steve Intravaia now moves into fourth place on the strength of his
last two performances. The Rookie Intravaia has 462 points. Jesse State
rounds out top five competitors with 439 points.
In speaking with the New Jersey
based racer by phone, Osborne remarked, "The Adirondack track was a
tough read. We came into the event hoping for a win, but the moisture
was a constant problem. We decided to try to stay clear of the incidents
and get the best finish we could."
The series is off this weekend and
will swing back into action next week when another New York State of
Mind Weekend will play out. A return to the Spencer Speedway on the
10th, followed by return trip to the Chemung Speedrome on the 11th will
make the weekend pivotal for those who have aspirations for wearing the
Focus crown at the end of the year.
Ryano Racing thanks all of their
sponsors and supporters for their help as they set their goal to win the
2007 Northeast Ford Focus Championship. For additional news and

Ryan Osborne Drives to Another
Second Place Finish in Focus Action at Waterford; Adirondak on Schedule For
Friday By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget series made it's return trip to the Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut over the weekend. The return to the Connecticut paved bullring proved to be another successful outing for Ryan Osborne and his Ryano Racing Team, as Osborne raced to his third consecutive second place finish at the Speedbowl in the past two years. Steve Intravaia, the 19-year old convert from the Slingshot ranks, drove to his first win in the series in the former championship car campaigned last year by Ryan Smith. In the Qualifying period, series point leader Jeff Abold set fast time with a 14.761 clocking. PJ Stergios was recorded in second with a time of 14.777. Ryan Osborne hit the clocks with a 14.814, which left him in third place, and Intravaia timed at 14.846 which was good enough for fourth. Jesse State rounded out the top five in qualifying with a time of 14.902. Ginny Quinones and Sean Carman were also under the 15 second barrier. In the heat action Abold won over Osborne in the first heat, and PJ Stergios won over Intravaia in the second, setting the stage for the feature event of 20 laps over the 1/3 mile Speedbowl track. As the field came down for the initial green it was Quinones leading the way with Jesse State in hot pursuit and Intravaia and Osborne following the pair. On lap-2, something appeared to have broken on the front of the Quinones cars as she and State then made contact and Quinones careened into the second turn wall and State executed a tip-over. The Quinones car suffered heavy damage and was through for the day but a trip to the pits for a jug of oil had State back in action without losing a lap. With Intravaia now at the point, when they resumed racing, Osborne worked both high and low throughout the race, but never finding the room he needed to make a run at Intravaia for the lead. All of the time he was also trying to pressure the USAC rookie into making a mistake. The Saylorsburg resident was up to the task as held his line, made no mistakes and checked in under the checkered flag first at the end of 20-laps. Osborne raced in behind him with another solid second place finish and Stergios was third. Jon Seaman, a Connecticut resident, was fourth and series leader Jeff Abold was in for fifth. Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne has moved up a notch in the latest point standings. Jeff Abold continues to lead with with 507 markers. PJ Stergios with 467 points is second. Osborne moved up another notch to third place with 431 points and Jon Seaman is now fourth with 427. The Rookie Intravaia remains strong with the win and his 394 ponts rounds out top five competitors. In speaking with the New Jersey based racer by phone Osborne remarked, "We came into the Waterford event hoping for a win, but the narrow track keeps passing to a minimum. We raced each other hard but in the end we came up short and finished second." Osborne further added, "Congratulations to Steve on his win, he has been a welcome addition to the Ford Focus ranks this year." This coming week finds the USAC Northeast Ford Focus series heading back to the Empire State for a race at the Adirondack International Speedway on Friday night, July 27th. |

Jon Seaman Moving Ahead
to NEMA Midgets Jon Seaman, after a brief and successful career in the USAC Ford Focus Midget Series, Jon Seaman Jr. has decided to move his career on to the next stage. “The NEMA (North East Midget Association) car is almost ready, reported Seaman Monday. “It’s time to move on to another challenge. We’d like to make the race at Waterford, but we’re not going to bring the car out until it’s ready so we may wait until the end of the month.” The decision was not easy to make, according to the engineering student. “The Ford Focus series is a great way to start racing open wheelers, we just decided it was time to take on a new challenge. “I’m excited to run in the NEMA series,” he adds. “I’m looking forward to having double the horsepower and learning to run with a wing.” Seaman’s most recent race, Saturday at Waterford Speedbowl was a challenge for the driver and his team. “This was the weekend that showed how good our team is,” he commented. Following a crash in practice, the team had to replace a broken shock absorber, the front axle and ensure that the car was aligned properly, all in only twenty minutes, so that Seaman could make the heat race to earn a starting berth in the feature. “It was good. Everyone in the team was on it,” he added, praising the team. “By the feature, the car was one of the fastest cars out there. We started seventh in the feature and made it up to fourth,” he reported, adding that he just couldn’t get a good run on the third-place car, in spite of having a quicker car. Seaman is being helped in his career by training from Future Stars in Racing Academy. The Academy helps prepare young drivers for success outside the car in public speaking; sponsor presentations; working with the media and behavior on and off the track. Future Stars in Racing is the exclusive driver development partner with the ASA Late Model Series. Marketing partners include Safety-Kleen, Awesome Racewear and Sunbelt Web Solutions. |

Ryan Osborne Grabs Third Place in
Wall Focus Outing; Waterford on Tap This Weekend The return home to the Garden State to race before his hometown fans, proved to be a successful outing for Ryan Osborne and his Ryano Racing Team this past weekend. After spending much time on the road the past few weeks, the two hour ride to Wall Stadium for the weekend racing was like a sigh of relief for the road weary team. The Ryano Team again came away with positive results as Ryan Osborne raced to a third place finish in the 25 lap feature event on the 1/3 mile high banked Belmar oval. Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne raced to an impressive win in the second heat of competition. In the first heat for theFocus cars, newcomer Michael Mohelski led the way to set the stage for the 25 lap feature event. When the field came down for the start, it was fellow Garden Stater Sean Carman taking the early lead and Carman held on for three laps before Jesse State made the winning pass on the tight racing surface. Carman fell back into second place and it was Osborne pulling close, but never able to sustain a quick run past his fellow home-stater. State crossed the finish line first, followed by Carman and Osborne. Jon Seaman was fourth and rookie Focus driver, Steven Intravaia rounded out the top five. Series point leader, Jeff Abold, was sixth in the final rundown. In speaking with the Jersey based racer by phone Osborne remarked, "Wall is a great place to race, and as close to home as we get during the season. We came into the event hoping for a win, but the track was slippery to race on and the car became a handful to maintain control. We couldn't get a run on anyone ahead of us, so we just settled in and took what we could get and kept the car in one piece. The third place finish is good but we were hoping for more." This coming week finds the USAC Northeast Ford Focus series heading back to the Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut, the very same place that kicked off the Focus season for 2007. The last time the series raced at the facility was April 28th, and Ginny Quinones was able to lead all of the way to win her first ever series event. Osborne dogged Quinones throughout the event and finished second. Osborne, seeking to continue his streak of great finishes said, "Waterford has always been a fun track to race at. We are hoping for a wider groove to race on in this trip. We have always had good success there, (two seconds, one in 2006 and one in 2007)) and hope to have another good outing when we visit there this week." |

Ryano Racing Returns Home to Race
at Wall This Week in USAC Northeast Focus Action After a weekend that featured racing at two very different New York venues, Ryano Racing will return home this week to race at their hometrack, Wall Stadium, situated in Belmar, New Jersey. This will make for a breather of sorts for the New Jersey based team as they spent the last two weeks on the road, first in North Carolina and the trip to New York State last week. The Team returns home pleased with the performances of their driver Ryan Osborne. Osborne raced his family owned Ford Focus Midget to an impressive heat win at Spencer, and with that win, found him starting from the fifth position in the feature event. Osborne had the best seat in the house as he worked his way to third place in the event. In front of Osborne, the cars of Jeff Abold and Jon Seaman exchanged the lead a few times before Abold emerged as the winner of the 30-lap battle. Seaman was second, Osborne third, and the cars of PJ Stergios and Rick Fedrizzi rounded out the top five. A trip across state and north to Oswego was the next stop on the New York swing. Passing was at a premium for the Oswego race and Osborne, who started the feature from 11th starting position, found his way to 6th by the midway point. A car in front of him lost the handle and Osborne drove his car high to avoid the spinning race car. After getting by the car, Osborne and all of the cars behind went for a spin as well. In some confusing manner, Osborne was the only car sent to the rear for the incident and when racing resumed Osborne knew he would have hands full, but was able to pick off a few cars to finish ninth in the final rundown. Jeff Abold, who became the leader on lap-14, won the event with Jesse State in second and Rookie pilot Steve Intravaia rounding out the top three. Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne is now comfortably sitting in fourth place in the 2007 Series points chase. Abold with 396 markers, is the current point leader with PJ Stergios in second with 355. Jon Seaman is third with 315 and Osborne is fourth with 301. Jesse State, with 272 points, rounds out the top five. In speaking with the Jersey based racer by phone Osborne remarked, "Spencer was a great track to race on. Spencer provided us the most room for passing we have had all year. I kind of wish we had more races scheduled there. Oswego was a different ball game as we found a very narrow racing lane to work with. I was hoping for a better performance at Oswego, but once we got turned around, all we could hope for was to pick off as many cars as we could before the checkered flag fell." In addressing the schedule bringing the team close to home this weekend, Osborne said, " Wall has always been a fun track to race at. We hope we can do well on our hometrack as we will have some home town fans sitting in the seats this weekend cheering us on. We want to give them something to cheer about." Ryano Racing thanks all of their sponsors and supporters for their help as they set their goal to win the 2007 Northeast Ford Focus Championship. Nineteen year old driving star Ryan Osborne, racing out of Milford, New Jersey, wants to stay as busy as possible, so with that in mind the entire Ryano Racing Team will point the hauler South as the team will do battle with the stars of the USAC Carolina Ford Focus Series on June 30th at the Hickory Motor Speedway, located in Newton, North Carolina.

Carolina Series in the past and has always earned high marks for his
performances there.
In speaking with the Jersey based
racer by phone Osborne remarked, "We have been making occasional trips
down South whenever we had an open date on our schedule. We felt real
good coming off our last performance at Chemung and feel this is a nice
opportunity to join the Carolina Series and acquire some more seat time
at a venue we have raced well at before." Osborne further added, "We
have made some good friends down here and the RRC guys have been great
to work with. We are hoping for a good run at Hickory and then prepare
for the two-race schedule next week in New York state. The more we can
race, the better I like it."
Jeff Abold leads the season points
with 261 points. Jon Seaman currently sits second in the points with
251. PJ Stergios is third in points with 243, and Osborne sits fourth in
points with 200. With the two-race schedule next week, it will give the

Jon Seaman Scores Fourth Top Five
Finish in Ford Focus Midget Races SOUTHBURY, CONN. – Jon Seaman needed just a few more laps to win the Northeast Ford Focus Midget race at Chemung Speedrome but a short run to the checker after a caution held him back to second at the finish, adding to his unbroken string of top-fives before heading south to Hickory Motor Speedway for a Southeast Focus Midget race. “We had a real fast car,” said Seaman. “It was a long run car last night, but we had a good finish overall,” he added, commenting on his string of five top-five finishes in the four Northeast Ford Focus Midget races in 2007. “We started fifth in the feature after the heat,” he said, describing the race. “We started sixth in the heat and finished third. There was no room on the inside to pass, so I had to pass on the outside in the heat race. In the feature, we got to third and the leaders were battling. I came right up on them, then the leader went low and spun himself “I was positioned to pass both of them on the front straight before the spin, so on the restart with seven or eight laps to go, I was in second place. The car was really good on a long run but the last of the race just didn’t last long enough.” Seaman plans to head south to compete in the Southeast Ford Focus Midget race at Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, N.C. on June 30, after appearing at Carowinds at the amusement park’s “Salute to Motorsports” day on June 28. You can meet Jon in person on June 27th at Carowinds Salute to Motorsports, featuring the Future Stars in Racing Training and Development Academy. Jon, along with 15 of his fellow academy members will be on hand signing autographs for fans and participating in question and answer sessions throughout the day. |

Ryan Osborne Solid in
Fourth Place Run at Chemung The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Series swung back in action over the weekend as the Chemung Speedrome in southern New York played host to the touring stars of the series. Nineteen year old driving talent Ryan Osborne, racing out of Milford, New Jersey, turned in a solid effort at the speedway to earn a solid fourth place finish in the 25-lap main event. Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne earned his way into the feature event with a strong drive in his heat race. Starting from his seventh starting position, Osborne hustled the Ryano Racer into fourth by the race end. finplace. Starting from his seventh starting place in the feature event, Osborne worked his way forward, even though the narrow racing lane at the Speedway kept the passing to a minimum. When the checkered flag fell after running 25-laps, Osborne walked away with a solid fourth place run for his efforts. Jeff Abold won the event and now leads the season points with 261 points. Jon Seaman, who finished second in the race, currently sits second in the points with 251. PJ Stergios was third in the race and in points with 243, and Osborne sits fourth in points with 200. In speaking with Osborne after the race he stated, "The track was good to race on, perhaps a little tight, so it took a lot of time and patience to move in on another car and then get a good run on him to make the pass. We were tightening up in the feature the longer we went on, but were pleased to once again finish in the top five." Ryano Racing will prepare the car for battle for June 30th as they make a swing down south to compete with the USAC Carolina Ford Focus Series Stars. Hickory Speedway, a .3663 mile paved track located in Newton, North Carolina, will host the event. Ryan Osborne Looking to
Rebound This Weekend at Chemung The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Series will spring back into action this coming weekend June 16th at the Chemung Speedrome, located on Route 17 in Chemung, New York. Nineteen year old driving talent Ryan Osborne, racing out of the Garden State in Milford, New Jersey, is hoping for a complete turnaround for the rash of problems his Ryano Racing Team ran into at the last tour stop, Seekonk, Massachusetts. The Team suffered from ignition problems the entire weekend and had the team scratching their heads over the turn of events the team was suffering from. Hoping the problems are far behind them, Ryano Racing is looking forward to a good run at the Southern Tier racing facility made famous by the racing Bodine Brothers. Father Eli Bodine owned the racetrack back in the sixties. The track has treated them good in the past and would be a prefect setting to put the team back on track. Driving the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne, Osborne will have his work cut out for him as he seeks to regain his momentum from the opening day second place the team enjoyed at the Waterford Speedbowl. The current Sereis points leader is Jeff Abold with 193 points. Jon Seaman is second with 188, and PJ Stergios at 182 points sits third. Osborne is currently in fourth place with 144 points each. Rounding out the top five is fellow Garden Stater, Sean Carman with 143. While sitting idle in between Focus events, Ryan Osborne is open to any suggestions for a possible ride in an open wheel race car whether it be an ARDC ride, a 270 Micro or a 600 Micro or Mini Sprint. Ryan can be reached at: 908 319 9937 for those who may have an interest to have Ryan race for them. Jon Seaman Scores Another Podium
Finish Jon Seaman Scores Third-Place at Seekonk USAC Ford Focus Midget Race SOUTHBURY, CT. – Northeast Ford Focus Midget racer Jon Seaman continued his 2007 season streak of top-five finishes with a second straight podium finish at Seekonk Speedway last weekend. Seaman’s race day started with a third-place qualifying effort in the series’ “batch” qualifying system. Cars draw for qualifying group and go on the track in ‘batches’ instead of single-car sessions. Time trials determine the starting order for heat races. With the series’ rules, he lined up second for the heat race, finished second and started on the outside pole for the feature. In the feature race, he held “second for most of the race. The car started to tighten up in the first quarter of the race,” he said. “I couldn’t turn in the corners.” Late in the race, he gained on the leader and “tried a daring move to make it underneath him.” The car pushed up off the turn and Seaman dropped back one position to third, where he remained to the finish. “I knew I had a fast car, I just couldn’t get a good run on the leader,” he said following the race, pleased with the result, despite the disappointment at not winning. The disappointment is slightly eased by the fact that he moved into second place, just five points out of first, in the series’ points standings after winning the pole and heat at the season’s opening round before finishing fifth in that feature and third at the last two feature races. The next Northeast Ford Focus Midget race is slated for June 16 at Chemung, N.Y. “We’re hoping this will be a good race,” he added. “Last year was my first top five in the Ford Focus Midget series.” Seaman is being helped in his career by training from Future Stars in Racing Academy. The Academy helps prepare young drivers for success outside the car in public speaking; sponsor presentations; working with the media and behavior on and off the track. Future Stars in Racing is the exclusive driver development partner with the ASA Late Model Series. A position that he will definitely try to change the next time. Also looking forward to good runs are 2 time Series point runner-up Jeff Abold, from Pennellville, N.Y. The always hard charging Jon Seaman Jr., Southbury, Ct., has his new car figured out, and hopes to battle for the win. 2 rookies are making some noise this year. Young Nick Ribbe, and Steven Intavaia both had top 10 finishes in their first starts at Waterford. Look for them to better their finishes each race, as they are gaining experience, learning the other drivers, and the fast way around each speedway! NORTHEAST FORD FOCUS SERIES POINTS: 1-Quinones-66; 2-Stergios-65; 2-Osborne-63; 4-Seaman-62; 5-Abold-61; 6-Wall-58; 7-Gosselin-48; 8-Carman-43; 9-Ribbe-43; 10-Intravaia-33 |

Ryan Osborne Prepping
for Epping Focus Show By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Series swings back into action this coming weekend May 26th. The destination is the All Star Speedway, a one quarter mile lightning quick oval located in Epping, New Hampshire. While the speed facility has a rich racing history behind it, the event will mark the first time at the speedway for the Focus Series as well as their first racing within the state's borders. Nineteen year old driving talent Ryan Osborne, racing out of Milford, New Jersey, will be among the series stars hoping to become the first driver to win a Ford Focus event at the speedway. He will be back behind the wheel of the Ryano Racing/Castle Real Estate Inspection/Warren County Collision Center Focus racer owned by his parents Bob and Fran Osborne. Osborne, who is entering his third year of racing in the series, got his racing season off to a rousing start at the series opener a few weeks ago in Waterford, Connecticut with a strong runnerup finish to winner Ginny Quinones from Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. Osborne felt he had a quicker car at Waterford, but with the racing lanes being so narrow, couldn't get the run he needed off of the turns to forge ahead. Osborne and Ryano Racing will take all of the positives from the Waterford event into New Hampshire with high hopes the team can again do all of the right stuff and this time emerge as a winner. While the Waterford facility had tight racing lanes, and made passing a premium, the Epping facility has a wider racing surface, which will create more side by side racing action to entertain the race fans. Ryano Racing will carry the momentum built from the great start at Waterford into Epping as the season now begins to take shape with the next race scheduled for the 2nd of June at Seekonk, Massachusetts. Fifteen races make up the 2007 Northeast Ford Focus Midget racing schedule and finishing all of the events is essential to land the series title, won last year by Kunkletown, Pennsylvania's Ryan Smith. Ryano Racing thanks all of their sponsors and supporters for their help as they set their goal to win the 2007 Northeast Ford Focus Championship. Ryan
Osborne Stays Focused with Runnerup at Waterford Speedbowl By Steve Pados, GA Motorsports Media The Waterford Speedbowl in Connecticut welcomed the USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midgets into their 1/3 mile oval for the kick-off of the series 2007 schedule. Nineteen year old Ryan Osborne, racing out of Milford, New Jersey, was among the fourteen hopefuls who made the tow into town to do battle in the three year old racing series. Ryan was hoping for the same kind of success he enjoyed last year when the season opened up at Waterford, and he finished in the runner-up slot. Ryan didn't disappoint his loyal Ryano Racing following as he once again finished in the runner-up slot to the winning nineteeen year old lady racer, Ginny Quinones, driving out of Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania. The win marked the first victory for a lady racer in the three year old racing series. Fast right out of the trailer, Ryan qualified seventh quickest after qualifying late in the round. Ryan placed third in his heat, and started the feature on the outside pole. With the racing lanes being narrow due to the lack of rubber laid down on the outer groove, Ryan tucked the Ryano Racing number 38 down low and used extreme patience in trying to find a way around the leader Quinones, who led from the start to finish in the 20 lap main event. Ryan made numerous attempts to pass but the racing lane was just too narrow to find the room to pass without incident. Rather than risk a problem, Ryan played it conservatively and took the runner-up finish. Ryano Racing will take the momentum built from the great start at Waterford as they head into the next series event scheduled for May 26th at the Star Speedway in Epping, New Hampshire. Fifteen races make up the 2007 Northeast Ford Focus Midget racing schedule and finishing all of the events is essential in hoping to land the series title, won last year by Kunkletown, Pennsylvania's Ryan Smith. Ryano Racing thanks all of their sponsors and supporters for all of their help as they set their goal to win the 2007 Northeast Focus Championship. Racing Announces 2007 Plans Ryan Osborne Focused on USAC Northeast Title Milford, New Jersey driving standout for Ryano Racing, Ryan Osborne, has recently announced his plans for the 2007 racing season. At 19 years of age, Ryan is entering his third season driving in the USAC Northeast Ford Focus Series and has shown marked improvement in each racing season. In 2005, Ryan entered the competition with a Beast combo car, driving in the pavement only racing series, and finished a creditable 10th in the final point tallies. In his rookie season, Ryan showed great adaptability on the tracks he was seeing for the first time ever. All of his prior racing was accomplished on dirt surfaces. For 2006, Ryan's parents and car owners, Bob and Fran, purchased an all pavement Beast car from RRC Chassis in North Carolina. Ryan responded with some great runs and a solid 5th in the final point standings, even though the team felt they missed on a couple of set-ups at some of the tracks where they competed. For the upcoming 2007 racing season, the current car has been totally refurbished as Ryan prepares for a run at the Northeast title. With the wealth of knowledge they have gained from racing in the series, Ryan is poised and confident as the start of the new season inches closer. When reached at home, Ryan remarked, "We have learned a great deal about our car and the set-ups. We are more familiar with the tracks where we compete, and I have learned a great deal about my ability and how to react to the situation at hand. We would like nothing better than to carry the Focus title back home to New Jersey. As time permits, Ryano Racing will venture to some non-conflicting dates in the Carolina Series and take a possible look at some Midwestern Series dates as well. They also plan to race in the season ending National Championship races in North Carolina and PRI races in Florida. Sponsorship for Ryano Racing comes from Ryan's Dad's business, Castle Real Estate Inspections, with additional help being supplied by Warren County Collision Center and Radon Supplies. Ryano Racing is still seeking additional Sponsorship help for the 2007 racing season to increase the number of races they will compete in this year. As the season opener draws near, Ryan Osborne and Ryano Racing are poised and determined......and focused! Thanks for lettering our
trailer - Bryant Trim The Northeast Ford Focus Series would like to thank Bryant Trim for his efforts on the lettering of our trailer that we use weekly at the races. Bryant is a fine racer in his own right, and we thought it would be good if you got to know a little bit about him! WWW.BRYANTTRIM.COM Twenty-one year-old Bryant Trim may look young, but his racing roots go deep. He is a third generation racecar driver, and he is currently turning heads in the ASA Pro Late Model Division. Bryant started racing go-carts when he was sixteen, and in his initial season garnered two track championships and Rookie of the Year honors. He was quickly sought out by go-cart dealer, Andy Kane and in his second year, successfully defended his track championship while also being honored as Most Improved Driver. That same year, Bryant made the move to the ASA Pro Late Model Division and he has been making an impact in Stock Car racing ever since. Bryant is a native of Morrisonville, NY and is a 2004 graduate of Saranac High School. He is no stranger to hard work and when not racing, works in the family business, helping his father move and set mobile homes. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and going fast—having grown-up on dirt bikes, and four-wheelers. He is also a certified welder--skilled in his craft. Bryant’s caring, friendly, and easy-going personality, as well as his success behind the wheel, has made him a fan favorite. As a consistent front-runner, he is exciting to watch on the track, but his ability and willingness to personally connect with the fans is just as impressive. Backed by generations of know-how, Bryant Trim and Trim Motorsports are currently seeking sponsorships for the 2007 Nascar Busch East Series. 2006 USAC Northeast Ford
Focus Midget Series “Rookie of the Year” ‘The Stockton Stalker” - Sean Carman Sean Carman, the 22 year old from Stockton, N.J., tried a major change in his career in 2006. Switching from dirt racing, where he was very successful, (2005 Bridgeport N.J. DIRT Sportsman Champion, and Most Popular Driver), to the paved racing of the USAC Ford Focus Midget Series. Sean and the Carman Motorsports Team, worked hard at learning the new racing surface last year. They traveled to Florida in early February, to get some much needed experience, and came home with a couple of top 5’s, and a 12 place in the Florida Region points. They also proved they were going to race as much as they could during the regular season, and regularly traveling to race with the Carolina Series, getting a top 10 in point in that Series. The real story for the year was Sean and the way he adapted to the paved tracks of The Northeast Ford Focus Series. The first race that Sean competed in with them was a heat at the Waterford Speedbowl in April, which he won. The feature had Sean finishing 4th, racing with the leaders. The Northeast Series competitors knew they had a very, very good rookie to compete against. During the season, Sean had 5 top 5 finishes, with a best finish of 2nd at the Adirondack International Speedway in Lowville, N.Y. The team was able to get 7th in the final point standings, giving him “Rookie of the Year” with the Northeast Ford Focus Series. The award will be officially being presented at the USAC Night of Champions Awards Banquet that will be held in Indianapolis, In., on January 19th. For the 2007 season, Sean is planning on returning to his roots. The Carman Motorsports Team has announced that they have purchased a Sprint Car and will be competing at the Bridgeport Speedway in the Limited Sprint Car Division on Friday nights. The team will also compete with the Northeast Ford Focus Series as much as they can. |

2006 USAC
Northeast Ford Focus Series Champion Ryan Smith “The Kunkletown Kid” (Shrewsbury, Ma.) The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Series competitors knew before the first race of the season that they’d have to beat for the point championship this year. They all heard how the “Kunkletown Kid” Ryan Smith had already won the Florida Region that was contested during the winter. Crew chief, Gregg Smith, (no relation), Denise and Randy Smith, (parents) and the whole S & S Speedways crew knew to win the Northeast points, they had to be ready to race with some of the best USAC Ford Focus drivers in the country. In 2005, Ryan finished 7th in NFFS points, and the team worked hard to better that position in 2006. Trying different set – ups during the year and a very thorough maintenance program allowed the team to race for wins at every race. The 18 year old freshman at the Northampton Community College was able to score 3 wins in the Northeast Series, all at different tracks. He won the point title by 27 points over the very talented Jeff Abold. Ryan had 9 top 10 finishes and 2 Fast Times in 10 starts. After the NFFS Season, the team next tried their luck at the USAC Ford Focus National Championship that was a two race series in California during Thanksgiving week at Ventura Speedway (dirt), and Irwindale Speedway (paved). The team stumbled in qualifying at Ventura with a time that was 23nd best and was able to race back to an 8th place finish in the feature. On the pavement of Irwindale it was a better story. Ryan qualified 4th fastest, and battled for the lead before settling for 2nd to the Race and Series winner Michael Faccinto. The team finished a very hard fought 3rd in The National Ford Focus Series Points, (1 point behind 2nd place, also from the NFFS – “Slick” Nick Wean.) S & S Speedways Sponsors for the 2006 Season – S & S Speedways Indoor Go-Karts, Tireman,VRP Shocks, Bruces Speed Shop, Chestnuthill Trailers and Motorsports, K. A. Ceykovsky Concrete Construction, Hampton Body Works, and PSI Motorsports all contributed to the fantastic Season. Ryan Smith and team are looking to do some USAC National Dirt Midget Racing in 2007. The team is keeping their options open to any opportunity that might present itself. At the same time, they are not ruling out racing with the Northeast Ford Focus Series, when they can. |

Jon Seaman Jr. OK after MOPAR-PRI Classic Crash (Orlando, Fl.) USAC Northeast Ford Focus Series driver Jon Seaman Jr. is okay after a frightening series of flips during the 13th lap of the 40 lap Ford Focus Feature. Seaman, from Southbury Ct, a feature winning rookie with the NFFS, had a fast car all day. The practice session showed they would be fast. The team stumbled in qualifying with a time that was only 17th fastest. They then proceeded to go out in their heat and handily won that. Next up was the feature, which had the Seaman #63 starting in 17th position. Seaman drove a steady race to work himself into the top 10. As he was passing another competitor, working hard on the outside, the cars touched, forcing Jon into the wall. Jon flipped multiple times down the backstretch destroying his car. Jon was shaken up but was okay. In a conversation with Jon’s Father, Jon Seaman Sr. “We’re ordering another car, and we’re going to win some Focus Features this year!” |

Ryan Smith, from Kunkletown, Pa., the newly crowned Northeast and Florida Region Ford Focus Series Champion will be looking to cap off his great season with a National Championship. Smith, a 5 time USAC Ford Focus Series winner, has won on dirt and asphalt this year, and should be a serious contender for the title. The national champion will be determined by using a new USAC points system developed for the Ford Focus National Championship. The driver earning the most total points for the two races will be the USAC Ford Focus National Driving Champion. Yeley, Dave Darland and Ryan Newman on November 23rd this year," said Eric Bunn, USAC National Coordinator, Ford Focus Series. "In addition to the national championship, our drivers will be competing for more than $35,000 in posted awards for the Ford Focus National Championship Invitational weekend." This format will certainly match the 'best of the best' for years to come in what has become America's fastest-growing racing series."
