USAC HANS Device Recertification

Focus at Southern National Cancelled.

Good chance our season will not happen -- been waiting for USAC to make "official" decision. Lack of cars and tracks is the reason.

Please try and support the Carolina Series and other Focus Series.
Their schedules are posted on the USAC Site.

Sorry for the delay in the announcement.    Tim

Jan. 18th, 19th, & 20th
Atlantic City, NJ
Show Site

The United States Auto Club Northeast Ford Focus Series is proud to announce that they will be a part of the USAC Sprint Car display at the Motorsports Race Car Show 2008 – Presented by VP Racing.

Ryan Osborne, 20, from Milford, N. J., and his #38 team will be available all weekend with the Castle Inspections / Warren County Collision Beast Ford Focus Midget to discuss and answer all your questions about the Series. Ryan will be in his 4th year of Focus Midget racing. He claimed his 1st win at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y. last year and finished 4th in the 2007 Points.

Steven Intravaia, 20, and his #73 team from Saylorsburg, Pa, the 2007 NE Focus Rookie of the Year will also be available throughout the weekend with his S & S Speedways Beast Ford Focus Midget. Steven will also see action at Convention Hall in the Slingshot event Saturday Evening. Steven was a 3 time winner in 2007 (Waterford, Ct., Adirondack and Chemung, N.Y.) on his way to a 6th place Point finish in his Rookie Year.

The USAC Ford Focus Midget Series is designed to bridge the gap between the amateur open-wheel racing and the professional ranks of the United States Auto Club.

Featuring a sealed “spec” Ford Focus Zetec engine, the USAC Ford Focus Series is the perfect place for young racers graduating from the Quarter Midgets and Go-Carts to begin their professional careers.

Greg Staab, The USAC National Series Coordinator, will have 2 USAC National Sprint Cars on display. Greg will be available to discuss the June USAC Eastern Sprint Car Swing and all other aspects of the always exciting USAC Series’.

Winter Update … January 8, 2008

Milford, N.J.    The USAC Northeast Ford Focus Midget Series has been very busy during the “off season.” Working on getting the schedule finalized has been the #1 priority. The goal is to be able to announce a schedule at The 2008 Motorsports Race Car Show presented by VP Racing Fuels in Atlantic City.

We also would like to thank Wirtgen America and Connecticut Trailers for their support the last few seasons. After the schedule is finalized, the next job will be to nail down a new Series Sponsor, and work on individual race sponsors.

There has been some big changes in the management of USAC in Indianapolis. Kevin Miller has been named President and Jason Smith VP of Racing Operations.. They have committed to address the problems of the Ford Focus Series.

NE Focus Notes – The Ginny Quinones and Tad Uzzle Teams made the haul to Fort Wayne, Ind. To take part in the 2 race Rumble Series. Both missed making the tough 14 car features as 48 cars tried to qualify.

- Former NE Focus racers, and present ARDC Stars, Nick Wean and 2006 NE Focus Champion, Ryan Smith will try their luck at Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals on January 12. Good Luck to both teams!

- Last years Champion, Jeff Abold, is looking to do some USAC National Midget racing, Super Racing, and maybe some Focus racing too. Looks like a busy year for the college freshman.
